MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Release restriction, restore movement, and reconnect with your body.

DESCRIPTION

Sometimes the body doesn't need deeper pressure — it needs more time. Myofascial Release is a slow, focused treatment designed to work with the fascia, the connective tissue network that surrounds and supports muscles, joints, organs, and structures throughout the body. When fascia becomes restricted through stress, injury, repetitive movement, poor posture, or physical strain, it can contribute to tension, stiffness, discomfort, and reduced mobility. Unlike traditional massage techniques that focus primarily on muscles, Myofascial Release uses sustained pressure, stretching, and gentle tissue engagement to encourage the fascia to soften and release. The treatment is performed slowly, allowing the body time to respond naturally and create lasting change. Because fascia responds best when hydrated, clients are encouraged to drink plenty of water before and after their session. Most of the treatment is performed without oil or balm, allowing greater connection with the tissue. Where appropriate, a purpose-made Tui Myofascial Balm may be introduced to support the work. As the session draws to a close, the treatment transitions into flowing Swedish massage techniques using a balm of your choice. This allows the body to relax, the nervous system to settle, and the effects of the fascial work to integrate fully. Myofascial Release may be beneficial for those experiencing chronic tightness, restricted movement, postural tension, repetitive strain, stress-related holding patterns, or simply a desire to move more freely within their body. Leave feeling lighter, looser, more mobile, and deeply connected to your body.
